Chinese Accounting Professors' Association of North America (CAPANA)

CALL FOR Parcipations

The Chinese Accounting Professors' Association of North America (CAPANA) invites both members and non-members to register and attend the Sixth Annual Research Conference. The conference will be held in Hong Kong, July 7-9, 2012. The conference is sponsored by Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Hong Kong. Papers in all areas of accounting using all available methodologies are welcome. The objective of the conference is to bring together accounting scholars in North America and Asia to discuss a small number of high quality research papers.

Paper submission deadline was Feb 15, 2013 and is now closed. See the conference papers page for details.

 

The working language of the conference is English. Only papers written in English will be considered. While both China-related and non-China-related papers are encouraged, one slot will be reserved for China study to promte research in this area. Papers by current CAPANA officers will not be considered. No single person should submit more than one paper. Selection of papers will be made through a review process.

 

There will be a best paper award of $500 voted by conference participants towards the end of presentations.

 

TRAVEL, LODGING, AND REGISTRATION FEE:

All conference participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. The conference hotel is Le Meridien Cyberport

Except for the invited discussants, all conference participants (including presenting authors) are required to pay a registration fee of US$250 for CAPANA members and US$350 for non-members. The registration fee includes conference materials, receptions, and meals.
